UGANDA 2007
Church Building Project
a building opportunity

Before I went out to Uganda this time, I did a collection of old mobile phones, children's sports wear, balls and miscellaneous sports equipment, and asked for any small donations in order to help with the work of River Jordan Ministries.
The items which had been donated went to the various schools supported by River Jordan Ministries. However, all the donations given, as well as profits from Tibasolite Inc. (my animation CD company), have gone into building this church over in Kampala, which will also double up as a base for the Charity River Jordan Ministries, as well as a place for looking after orphans in the area.

These photos were taken by Kenni Sabiiti, one of the pastors of River Jordan Ministries, back in August, showing how far they have got in building the church.

To the right is Aggrey Tusoome, who works with Kenni when doing the technical side of anything in River Jordan Ministries, as well as working with the youth of the schools in Kampala. Here he is mixing some cement.

And here is the latest photo that I have had of the church, which was e-mailed to me at the beginning of October by Pastor Robert Ssensang, another pastor of River Jordan Ministries. As you can see, the walls are all up, and it should be completed in another month. The building has to be quick, as the country has a visit from the HRH Queen Elizabeth II coming up in November, and any buildings which are tatty, or not finished will be torn down if they lie next to the route which the Queen will be taking during her visit. Extra money has had to be donated by Tibasolite Inc. in order to get the work finished on time, but it looks to be worth it.
